A Case of Elongated Styloid Process

ABSTRACT

The elongated styloid process was associated with throat pain, headache, pain with neck palpation, referred otalgia due to abnormal elongation of styloid process or calcification of stylohyoid ligament. The syndrome associated with elongated styloid process was described by Eagle and called as Eagle's syndrome. Recently, we have experienced elongated styloid process in right tonsillar fossa with throat pain which was solved postoperatively.
