A Case of Terminal Duct Carcinoma of the Parotid Gland

ABSTRACT

Terminal duct carcinoma(TDC) is a variant of adenocarcinoma arising from the salivary gland. It arises from the intercalated duct of salivary duct unit. TDC may be characterized as an indolent neoplasm, invasive and locally persistent but slow to metastasize. Recently, we have experienced a case of TDC of the parotid gland. It was removed by the way of superficial parotidectomy, and it was proved as TDC. So, we report this case with the review of the literatures.
