Study for the Clinical Effect of Budesonide(PULMICORT<sup>®</sup>)

ABSTRACT

Highly active, non-halogenated topical steroid, budesonide was tested on the 20 patients with allergic and non-allergic rhinitis. The study was an open non-comparative design. Patients was treated with terfenadine for run-in period of two weeks. The patients received budesonide and sprayed two times per day for 4 weeks. Budesonide was effective especially on sneezing, rhinorrhea and obstruction. Over 80%, symptoms were improved and symptoms were changed to mild degree. Budesonide was one of the best treatments for the allergic and non-allegic rhinitis.
