ABSTRACT |
Clear cell tumor of the submandibular gland is a very rare tumor. The tumor has been described as benign, while some authors considered the tumor malignant. This is the reason why the inclusive term to this tumor, clear cell tumor, has been proposed. The authors have experienced a case of clear cell tumor arising in the left submandibular gland in a 30-year old female. The tumor was excised completely, and no evidence of recurrence has been noted 19 months after removal. Biologic behavior of this tumor was briefly reviewed.
