ABSTRACT

A 6-year-old boy visited to our hospital on December 12, 1966 complaining of dysphagia and odynophagia after swallowing of the fish hook two days previously. On the day of admission esophagoscopy was carried out under general anesthesia. A fish hook arrested on the upper thoracic esophagus penetrating the esophageal wall was successfully removed. The patient was discharged with good condition on second hospital day.
