A case of choleasteatoma of the frontal sinus.

ABSTRACT

Choleasteatoma is a slow-growing cystic structure of epithelium surrounding a central mass of necrotic squamous debris and keratine. Choleasteatomas are well known to otolaryngologists as presenting within temporal bone structure, and reported as rare occurrence in the paranasal sinuses. Recently, the authors have experienced a case of choleasteatoma of the frontal sinus in 15 years old female complaining exophthalmos and diplopia. The mass was removed completely with good result. So the authors report on the case with review of literatures.
